1. Who is responsible for your data
ADEPT TECHNOLOGIES PVT LIMITED (trading as Adeptly, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data processed through adepttechuk.shop. Our registered office is 83 Burnfield Drive, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, G43 1BW, United Kingdom. For any privacy request, contact us at support@adepttechuk.shop or +44 7526591804.
2. What we collect
- Account data: name, email address and authentication identifiers when you create an account.
- Learning inputs: the goals, prompts, levels, time budgets, deadlines and any text or study material you choose to paste into the AI Workspace to generate plans and aids.
- Generated content: the study plans, roadmaps, flashcards, quizzes, cheat sheets and micro-lessons produced from your inputs.
- Billing data: subscription plan, billing country and payment status. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and never reach our servers.
- Support data: messages you send through our contact and support forms, including name, email and message content.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and usage events needed to run and secure the service.
3. Collection sources
We collect personal data from the following collection sources:
- Directly from you — when you register, use the AI Workspace, subscribe or contact us (account details, learning inputs, support messages).
- Automatically — technical and usage data collected by our hosting and analytics infrastructure as you use the service.
- From our processors — limited billing status and metadata returned by our payment processor to confirm and manage your subscription.
We do not buy personal data or enrich your profile from third-party data brokers.
4. Why we use it and our legal bases
- To provide the service — generating plans and aids from your inputs, storing your work and enabling exports (performance of a contract).
- To process subscriptions — billing, renewals, refunds and receipts (performance of a contract).
- To support you — answering messages and resolving issues (legitimate interests / contract).
- To secure and improve the service — fraud prevention, debugging and aggregate analytics (legitimate interests).
- To meet legal obligations — tax, accounting and responding to lawful requests (legal obligation).
- Marketing emails, where sent, rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
5. AI processing of user input, generated results and file uploads
Because Adeptly is an AI tool, this section explains exactly how we handle the user inputyou type, the study material you paste or upload, and the results we generate:
- User input: the goals, prompts, levels, time budgets, deadlines and study material you enter are processed solely to generate your study plans and aids, and are stored with your account so you can revisit and export your work.
- Generated results: the plans, roadmaps, flashcards, quizzes, cheat sheets and micro-lessons produced from your input are stored so you can continue and export them.
- AI provider processing: where a generation step uses a third-party AI provider, only the user input needed to return your result is transmitted to that AI provider, under its data-processing terms; the AI provider does not receive your billing details.
- No model training: we do not use your user input, uploads or generated results to train or fine-tune AI models.
- Retention and deletion: user input, uploads and generated results are cached only as long as needed and cleared on a rolling basis, by default within 30 days, unless saved to your account. You can delete your input, uploads, generated content and account data at any time by contacting us.
6. Payment provider boundary
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. When you pay, your full card number, expiry and security code are entered into Stripe's secure fields and are transmitted directly to Stripe. Adeptly never sees or stores your full card number. We receive only limited billing status and metadata needed to activate and manage your subscription.
7. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with processors that help us run the service, under contract and only as needed:
- Hosting & delivery: Vercel (application hosting and content delivery).
- Payments: Stripe (subscription billing and card processing).
- Database, authentication & storage: Supabase (accounts, saved plans and leads).
- Email: our transactional email provider for receipts and support replies.
- AI provider: third-party AI generation providers that turn your user input into study plans, aids and micro-lessons; they receive only the input needed to return your result and do not train on it.
We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
8. International transfers
Some processors operate outside the UK/EEA. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with adequacy decisions where they apply.
9. How long we keep it
- Account and saved study content: for as long as your account is active, then deleted or anonymised on request.
- Uncached learning inputs and sample uploads: rolling deletion, by default within 30 days.
- Billing and tax records: retained as required by law (typically up to 6 years).
- Support messages: up to 24 months after resolution.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. Secret keys and credentials are stored server-side only and are never exposed in the browser. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and regulators of any breach where required.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Restrict or object to processing, and request portability of data you provided.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
- Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
- Under the California CCPA/CPRA, know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.
To exercise any right, email support@adepttechuk.shop. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
12. Do Not Sell or Share
Adeptly does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. No opt-out is required because no such sale or sharing takes place.
13. Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the service and, where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. See our Cookie Policy for details and choices.
14. Automated decisions and children
Adeptly generates study aids automatically, but these are informational and do not produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. The service is not intended for children under 13, and anyone aged 13–17 must have permission from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
